The project is located in the eastern part of Dubai urban area, running north south direction, bounded by Jebel Ali / Al Hebab to the north and trucks road to Dubai/ Abu Dhabi border to the south, and parallel to the Emirates Road (311) to the west.
The project was envisaged by the Dubai Municipality to improve the road network and reduce the traffic at the signailsed junction of Ramool Road near the Garhood Bridge.
The project mainly comprised the construction of road R3 which is connecting Al Safouh road to Dubai Marina, including a bridge over the water way.
Improvements of Al Khail Road, Al Khail Road-Umm Suquaim Road Junction consisted of constructing a new interchange on the Al Khail Road to replace the existing Roundabout with Umm Suquaim Road, as well as widening Al Khail Road from 4 to 6 lanes.
